In the 1970s, the Greina plateau, which connects Graubünden with Ticino, became famous throughout Switzerland due to the planned construction of a reservoir. The architect and artist Bryan Cyril Thurston campaigned against this construction project on the plateau for 20 years, capturing its unique beauty in numerous pictures. His maxim: "Only poetry can save the Greina." In "Greina", his son Patrick Thurston dedicates himself to his father's art and the fight to preserve the landscape. The Greina plateau has been preserved to this day because the construction of the dam was prevented - thanks in part to the high-profile efforts of Bryan Cyril Thurston. A simple, poetic film with wonderful music by Fred Frith.
