Ingrid (Julianne Moore), an art book author from New York, and Martha (Tilda Swinton), a war reporter for the New York Times, have known each other for a long time because they started out at the same magazine. Then they went their separate ways. Years later, the two women meet again - in an extreme and bittersweet situation. Pedro Almodovar has adapted the novel "What Are You Going Through" for his first English-language film. A melodrama about a female friendship with profound dialog and two great leading actresses. The film received a 17-minute standing ovation in Venice and dusted off the Golden Lion.
