One of the most popular operas, "Hansel and Gretel" by Engelbert Humperdinck (1854–1921), in a one-hour, simply staged version. The central piece, the Abendsegen (Evening Blessing), which Humperdinck wrote for Richard Wagner's children, will ring in your ears for a long time!

Humperdinck's large-scale opera originates from a small but important piece, the Abendsegen (Evening Blessing), which he wrote for Richard Wagner's children. During this time, he was their house musician. The small play for children became a great work, one of the most important for the history of opera in the 20th century.
As part of the Sent concerts, we will bring this wonderful music back to its original chamber size, into an hour-long, simply staged version.
The opera tells the well-known fairy tale with wit and romantic drama.
