Concert in the church of Sent | MOLDOVAN DUO: VIOLIN AND LUTE

Description
Lea Kilianová – violin
Jindřich Macek – lute
Music of the European Baroque (Speer, Handel, Corelli, de Visée) is followed by modern works (including Cohen, Williams, Macek, Piazzolla).
The acrobat on the violin and the master of the lute – the harmony of the two instruments promises an intense musical experience!
Lea Kilianová has been playing the violin since she was a child. Already in her early childhood she performed in a duo with lute abroad, especially in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Switzerland, where she played from memory in front of an audience. At the national level, she achieved a number of successes, such as 1st place in the central round of the Czech Republic's national competition in chamber music with a predominantly string instrument component in Jindřichův Hradec 2016 in the chamber trio. She regularly performs in music programmes with lutenist Jindřich Macek, most often with the programmes "Violin String Trembling", "Lute and Violin Present", "From Classical Music to Fairy Tales with Lute and Violin" and the Advent concert "Advent Rest with Music". Lea Kilianová also likes to sing and plays other instruments (guitar, piano, flute) in addition to the violin. She is the recipient of the prestigious "Talent Vysočina 2017" prize for her achievements in violin playing, lives in Prague and studies there at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory.
Jindřich Macek won several prizes in guitar competitions during his studies, e.g. 1st prize in the national round of the Guitar Competition in Kutná Hora with a special award from the jury for the interpretation of Baroque music. In 1993 he graduated from the Conservatory in Pardubice with Prof. Stanislav Juřica and continued his lute studies in the same class; he completed this with his graduate concert in Hradec Králové in June 1999. In 2005 he graduated from the Academy of Early Music at the Faculty of Philosophy of Masaryk University in Brno in the class of Miloslav Študent. He is currently the director of the music school in Havlíčkův Brod. He performs as a soloist, but also as a lute player in various chamber ensembles. In concert, he collaborates with mezzo-soprano Pavla Fendrichová on the interpretation of Renaissance and Baroque songs with lute accompaniment. Together with the flutist Silvie Mechová, he realizes the project "Hike through the Musical Landscape" and "Flauto dolce". With accordion player Jitka Baštová, he performs, for example, in the programme "La Brise de France", "Kontraste" (Trio Kontrasto with Lisa Stoll – alphorn) and "An Angel Was Sent by the Lord..." together. It organises educational concerts under the title "The lute introduces itself", which are intended for pupils of primary and secondary schools. His playing was repeatedly enjoyed by German, Swiss, Finnish, Dutch, Italian, Slovenian, Hungarian, Slovak, Croatian and American audiences. He has performed at music festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad. He actively participated in master classes. He also gained valuable experience in the interpretation course of the Japanese lute player S. Noiri.
After the concert, the KulturBus will take you free of charge to Scuol, Ftan, Ardez and Tarasp. Register at the box office.
