With the program Noite do Brasil, the Quinteto Voz e Vento brings the music of the Brazilian Hermeto Pascoal (*1936) to the stage. Miles Davis has reportedly called him the most impressive musician in the world. His compositions are a kaleidoscope of Brazilian rhythms, improvisations and folklore – from impressionistic to surrealist. Songs by Elis Regina, the "Queen of Popular Brasileira" and the great guitarist Egberto Gismonti complete the programme. Of course, a composition by Antônio Carlos Jobim is not missing.

Susanna Andres, studied violin in Basel and London. Singing lessons in Vienna. Collaboration with Jürg Wyttenbach and performances of his "Cycles for Singing Violinist." She plays in a wide variety of formations from baroque to contemporary music, from free improvisation and crossover projects to tango and jazz.

Markus Kohler, saxophone, trained at the music academies of Basel and Lausanne. Played contemporary music and jazz in a wide variety of formations. Fascinated by the music of the Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Hermeto Pascoal, he initiated the Brasil Project together with Susanna Andres and arranged a large part of the pieces for the quintet.

Mirella Quinto-Radielovic, piano, studied at the Basel University of Music with Klaus Linder and Peter Efler (concert maturity diploma). Further training in jazz and early music. Plays in various formations and as a soloist Baroque, Classical, Tango, Jazz. Management and implementation of interdisciplinary education projects with dance and acting.

Emanuel Schnyder, bass, studied at the Lucerne Jazz School with Heiri Känzig. Further training in various musical genres. He regularly plays in various formations at home and abroad (tours in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, North and Central America). Collaboration with Lionel Hampton, Chico Freeman, Nils-Peter Molvaer, among others.

Friedemann Stert, percussion, studied at the University of Music in Karlsruhe. Orchestral musicians in the Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe, the Philharmonic Orchestras Freiburg i. Br., Heidelberg and Nuremberg, the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg and others As a drummer, he played film music programs and with Argovia Philharmonic Rock Classics. In 1996 and 2008 concert tours in Brazil.
