Leaving Tracks - dropouts with e-bikes

Following the four events "Gateway to Antarctica" by Kerstin Langenberger, Anselm Pahnke "Elsewhere. Allein in Afrika", "Jerusalem auf Umwegen" by Johannes Maria Schwarz and "Auf dem Landweg nach New York" by Leavinghomefunktion, the fifth event will follow on February 15, 2025.

Two mountain bikers ask themselves what traces they leave behind in the world and experience their greatest adventure in the process. In an abandoned mountain village in the Ligurian Alps, they find the perfect e-bike playground and space for a new way of life.

Katharina and Harald take a fork in the road. Out of the comfortable life in Innsbruck and into an adventure with an open end. Their new home is a 300-year-old stone house with no running water and the nearest supermarket 40 km away. The simple life with nature gives rise to a new village community and the whole valley is infected by a spirit of optimism.
New life emerges and the overgrown shepherd's paths soon become the best bike trails in Liguria.

Harald Philipp is a storyteller and an extreme mountain biker by trade, a philosopher and, more recently, a passionate craftsman. He captivates the audience with his energy, attention to detail and a great sense of humor. Be it when he talks about the trails, the corrupt mayor or just his chickens.
Harald takes us on an outward adventure and lets us share in his inner journey of development. It is incredible to hear the thoughts he has given to the trails he leaves behind and the impressive speed with which Katharina and Harald have adapted their lifestyle.
