Description

The tour starts in Ardez and begins with a western ascent on the winter hiking trail Weiler Mund d'Ardez. (1779 m.a.s.l.) The tour then continues north to Murtera Dadaint (2145 m.a.s.l.) and to the Chamonna Maranguns (2302 m.a.s.l.) The ascent continues east to the Chamonna Cler self-catering hut (2474 m.a.s.l.). The final ascent leads via the southeast grade to the winter summit (2972m. a.s.l.) of Piz Cotschen. (3029 m.a.s.l.) Beautiful descent to Bos-Cha or Ardez.

  • By train (from Chur, Prättigau or Upper Engadine) hourly to Ardez station

Arrival information

  • From the north: via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadine on H27.
  • From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of St. Moritz on H27
  • From the south: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
  • Ardez is located directly on the Engadine road H27 (15 minutes drive from Vereina south portal)
