Ardez
Following the Inn you reach Lavin, which is characterised by Italian architecture. Further down the river, you get to Ardez with the Steinsberg Castle ruine, and finally the sunny Ftan Plateau. The loop over Motta Naluns and the Alp Laret is pretty challenging.

Description

The regional biking route 442 begins in the historic pass village of Susch and follows the Inn on a flat slope past Lavin to Giarsun below Guarda. From here the trail climbs slightly to Sur En d'Ardez. Here you have an impressive panoramic view of Guarda to the northwest, Bos-cha, Munt and Ardez at the foot of the Steinsberg castle ruins to the north and Tarasp with its striking castle to the east.

After crossing the Inn, a long steady climb follows to Ftan.

Geheimtipp

Sur En d'Ardez provided the backdrop for the film «Schellen-Ursli» in winter 2014/15 (cinema release October 2015). A stop at the fountain and a walk through the hamlet is recommended, as is the magnificent view across the Inn to Guarda and Ardez.
