Description
Even before the start of the first section, the first decision is already in front of you: those who want to make a few extra meters of altitude can already start the hike in Ftan and walk via Alp Laret to the mountain station. Those who want to start the day comfortably can simply take the chairlift to the mountain station Prui. And for the outliers who have traveled or hiked to Scuol the night before, there are the same options from Scuol by gondola - here the hike would only start from the Motta Naluns mountain station. From here the hike follows the signalization "Via Engiadina". The trail leads in a northeasterly direction away from the Naluns chairlift. Always above the timberline in an easterly direction, we soon reach the Jonvrai valley basin, where the Clozza mountain stream is traversed at the valley stations of the Clünas, Mot da Ri and Salaniva chairlifts. From here the path follows the flanks of Piz Champatsch and offers short views of Scuol and the gorge of Clozza as well as Sent. Through the first forest sections we descend to Vastur (refreshment stop). Crossing the streams of Val Gronda and Val Güstina, we soon reach the terraced village of Sent on the descent.
