Zernez offers some very interesting sights such as the Protestant parish church and the National Park Centre, which houses extensive permanent and temporary exhibitions, the visitor information centre and a souvenir shop.

With its many "old" houses, Susch presents itself as a splendid Engadin village. Susch is the only place in the Lower Engadine where the River Inn flows through the centre of the village and, together with the Flüela Pass and the Vereina Tunnel, forms the only traffic junction to the north-west.

Lavin lies at the south portal of the Vereina Tunnel and is located between Susch and Guarda at the bottom of the valley. The Protestant church of San Güerg is particularly worth seeing.

Guarda is considered one of the best-preserved Engadine villages. Because of its magnificent Engadine houses decorated with sgraffito, it was categorised as a village of national importance by the Swiss Heritage Society. Guarda also became famous thanks to the world-famous children's book story of Schellen-Ursli.

Like Guarda and Susch, Ardez is a typical Engadin village. Worth seeing are the Protestant church, the only Renaissance church in the Engadin, the Plantaturm and the Steinsberg castle ruins, which are open to the public.

Ftan lies on a sun-drenched high plateau, away from the hustle and bustle and is divided into the two districts of Ftan Pitschen and Ftan Grond (small and large). Visit the old mill of Ftan. The building houses two mills in their original state.

As a landmark of the Lower Engadine, Tarasp Castle, built in 1040, majestically overlooks the region. The world-famous Engadin artist Not Vital has been the new owner of Tarasp Castle since 30 March 2016. Guided tours of the castle and art exhibitions are organised on a regular basis.

Scuol became famous for its more than 20 mineral springs, which spring up over a distance of just 6 kilometres in and around Scuol. The authentic village squares with their mineral water fountains and the Engadine houses in the two old parts of the village, Scuol Sot (lower village) and Scuol Sura (upper village), which are characterised by Romanesque culture, are well worth a visit.

In the village of Sent, for example, there is the "Grotta da Cultura" meeting centre with its varied cultural programme and the mystical old Val Sinestra spa house. Sent can be recognised from afar by its neo-Gothic-style church tower built in 1899.

In the former spa houses, the simple Berghaus and the imposing Hotel Val Sinestra, you can still sense a flavour of times gone by. 

During the village tours, you will receive information about the traditions, stories, locals, culture and architecture on a tour of the village.

The small museum in Guarda offers insights into various scenes from the children's story. Here the Schellen-Ursli story becomes real. Ideal for visitors of all ages. 

MUZEUM SUSCH is defined by a series of permanent, site-specific installations by international contemporary artists that engage with the architecture and idiosyncratic structure of the location.

The Swiss National Park stands for true wilderness. Wilderness is also the leitmotif of the completely new national park exhibition in the Zernez visitor centre. Everything you experience here is not only «truly wild», but also «truly National Park».

Situated in the vaulted cellar of a residential building, the Kleintheater has been offering a high-profile programme of monthly guest performances from the fields of theatre, music and performance for over 20 years.

The Bogn Engiadina is the perfect place to relax after a hike: in addition to various indoor and outdoor pools with massage jets, whirlpools and waterfalls, there is a wide range of wellness and therapy programmes on offer.

In addition to the main exhibition on the way of life and culture of an Alpine region characterised by agriculture, the Lower Engadine Museum of Local History also has a large library containing the first Romansh Bible translated in 1679 and printed in Scuol.

For two hundred years, the Fundaziun Stamparia Strada operated the book and newspaper printing works, which was important and renowned for the development of the Lower Engadin Romansh «Vallader» language.

The Sent Museum provides an insight into the lives of our ancestors as they lived as farmers and musicians around the year 1890. The functions of the Engadine farmhouse with the workrooms and utensils, which are in their original state, are explained.

The sculpture park at the entrance to Sent was designed by the local, world-famous artist Not Vital. His works of art, buildings and sculptures can be found there.

At the ceramic painting course at Butia Schlerin in Sent, there are no limits to creativity and a cosy get-together is guaranteed.
